A successful life sciences oil-free compressed air project.

During this visit the client expressed the need to review some of its oil-free equipment.

The customer was looking to upgrade their unreliable, dated and loud reciprocating oil-free system as well as increase their air quality from ISO 8573 1.5.0 to ISO 8573 1.2.0 (40°F to -40°Fdew point decrease).  The customer required redundancy but due to pump failures lost that feature.  Superior Air Compressors a division of Comairco supplied (2) Sullair SRL 22s that are whisper quiet (as low as 48dBA) and have multiple oil-free scrolls for added redundancy.  The refrigeration dryers and associated filters were replaced with a pair of Sullair DHL 100 dryers with filters and dew point demand function for added efficiency.

With a weekend shutdown the only option for this installation to take place, Superior Air Compressors a division of Comairco’s service team worked hard from Friday night until Sunday to remove and dispose of the old system and place, plumb and start the new clean oil-free air system.

Superior Air Compressors a division of Comairco fully understands the complexity of stopping production and made sure to take all necessary measures into consideration.  Thorough planning by our professional service organization completed the installation on time that met the customer expectations and on budget.  In the event that a longer installation would have been required, oil-free rental equipment could have been offered to the customer so as not to stop the company’s production.
